Everton manager Roberto Martinez says Ireland midfielder Darron Gibson may be back at some stage this season.
The Derry man picked up a serious knee injury during Tuesdays 3-1 win over Kazakhstan and was stretchered off during the first half.
The Toffee's boss says while it is an anterior cruciate ligament injury, the whole structure of his knee is fine making surgery straight forward.

However, Gibson will still be out for a number of months as he undergoes the rehabilitation process.
