Former Ireland winger Geordan Murphy has announced he will retire from rugby at the end of the current season, with last Saturday’s game for Leicester, against London Irish, probably his lat for the club he has played with throughout his entire career.

Murphy retired from international test rugby last year, with 72 caps for Ireland to his name, along with four Heineken Cup final appearances, seven Premiership titles and over 300 club appearances.
