Wales rugby union head coach Warren Gatland says he will leave his job after the next World Cup.

The New Zealander has been in charge of the national side since 2007 and previously coached Ireland for three years.

He also led the British and Irish Lions in their successful tour of Australia in 2013.

He has told a radio station in New Zealand he wants to return home when his contract runs out in 2019.

"I'm here until 2019 and the plan for me then is definitely to come home for a period," he told Radio Sport.
