A dramatic late show from Galway FC at UCD has put them in pole position for a place in next season's SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.

Galway will take a 2 - 1 lead into the second leg of the League of Ireland Promotion/Relegation playoff after tonight's action.

Timmy Molloy's first half goal appeared to have given the Students a crucial lead tonight.

But a Paddy Barrett header on 88 minutes and another Ryan Manning's injury time goal from a set piece turned the game on its head, prior to Friday's all important second leg at Eamonn Deacy Park:
