Shamrock Rovers dreams of European football have fallen at the first hurdle after they drew 1-1 with Finnish side RoPS this evening, losing out 3-1 on aggregate.
Gary McCabe gave the Hoops some hope of progressing after converting a penalty on 22 minutes. However, it took just four minutes for RoPS to draw themselves back on level terms.
Eeto Muinonen equalised and they held out to dump the Dublin side out of Europe, a bad start for Stephen Bradley who took over for Pat Fenlon on a temporary basis this week.
