Scottish golfer Stephen Gallacher has won the Dubai Desert Classic for the second successive year.

He hit a final round 72 to end on 16 under par, one shot clear of Emiliano Grillo in second place. 

Gallacher is the first player to successfully defend the title.

Rory McIlroy had a poor final round, shooting a 2 over par 74 to finish on 12 under par in a tie for ninth place. 

Damien McGrane finished on 10 under par, while Michael Hoey ended on 4 under.
