The first round of games in the Allianz Football League continued this afternoon. 

In Division 1, Cork ran out comfortable winners over Westmeath at Pairc Ui Rinn. 

Daniel Goulding scored seven points for the home side as they ran out winners by 18 points to 10.

Elsewhere, Kildare beat Mayo by the slimmest of margins in a thrilling game in Newbridge. 

Kevin McLoughlin looked to have drawn the game with a late point for Mayo, but an injury time point from Paddy Brophy secured the win for Kildare on a scoreline of 2-19 to 2-18. 

In Division 2, Meath came from behind to beat Galway in a high scoring game in Navan. 

Meath scored 1-14 in the second-half as they ran out winners by 3-18 to 4-11. 

Elsewhere, Donegal were always in control as they thrashed Laois by 2-19 to 1-09 in Portlaoise. 

Armagh needed an injury time point from Tony Kernan to draw against Louth in Drogheda on a scoreline of 16 points to 1-13. 

And Down came from behind to take a point against Monaghan in Pairc Esler- the game finished 14 points to 1-11.
