Fulham and Cardiff have been relegated from the Premier League.
Both sides lost this afternoon, while Sunderland had a shock win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. That set of results means Fulham and Cardiff can no longer escape relegation.
Fulham went down 4-1 away to Stoke City, with Peter Odemwingie Marko Arnautovic, Oussama Assaidi and Jon Walters netting for Stoke.
Meanwhile, Cardiff lost 3-0 away to Newcastle, with goals from Shola Ameobi, Loic Remy and Steven Taylor condemning the Bluebrids to a return to the second tier of English football.
Sunderland, meanwhile, beat Manchester United 1-0, thanks to a Sebastian Larsson strike in the first half.
The win sees Sunderland move 3 points clear of the relegation zone, while Fulham and Cardiff go down.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa have ensured they are staying up, after a 3-1 win over Hull at Villa Park.
In the day’s other game, Rickie Lambert scored for Southampton to give them a 1-nil win away to Swansea.
