Chris Froome has held onto his lead in the yellow jersey at the Tour de France.

The Team Sky leader won the second individual time trial stage of this year's race, finishing the 32 kilometre course in a time of 51 minutes and 33 seconds and beating rival Alberto Contador by 9 seconds.

The Spaniard was quicker than Froome through all of the time-checks throughout the stage but the yellow jersey holder finished the stage quickest.
