The caption reads: "Controlled explosion by the police near the Stade de France for a suspicious car parked nearby."

There has been no further information has been issued by police. The incident is not expected to impact on the match which kicks off at 8pm Irish time.

"These checks happen regularly in Paris. They did not blow up the entire car," said a police spokesperson.
