France's Six Nations championship hopes have suffered another setback with news that Wesley Fofana will miss the rest of the tournament.
Following their defeat to Wales on Friday, Philipe Saint-Andre's side now look set to be without their star centre for their final two games.
The Clermont player broke a rib during that loss at the Millennium Stadium and is likely to be out of action for up to a month.
Fofana has been left out of the provisional France squad for their next outing against Scotland, while there is also no room for Louis Picamoles, who appears to have been dropped for arguing with match referee Alain Rolland last Friday.
However, Saint-Andre has included Morgan Parra, despite the Clermont scrum-half being shown a red card against Montpellier on Saturday, which is likely to result in a suspension.
Ireland will travel to Paris to play France on the final weekend of this year's Championship.
