Today marks the fourth anniversary of one of Munster's most iconic moments their illustrious European history.

After 40 phases of play and with no time remaining on the clock, Ronan O'Gara kicked a drop goal to defeat Northampton Saints in 23-21.

The quest for the winning score started with a scrum on the Northampton ten metre line and ended over five and a half minutes later. O'Gara would record a similar feat the following week against Castres. 

Northampton had finished runners up in the previous season and came to Thomond Park on the opening weekend of the Heineken Cup looking for an upset. 

Munster would end up topping Pool A before losing to Ulster in the quarter finals.
