Irish rugby legend Jack Kyle has died at the age of 88.

During a distinguished career Kyle became the first Irish captain to win a Grand Slam in 1948, while also winning Five Nations titles in 1949 and 1951.

The Belfast man won 46 Ireland caps, and was also a member of the 1950 Lions, playing in all six tests on the tour of Australia and New Zealand.
