Finn Harps forward Dave Scully believes his team were "robbed" last night against Shamrock Rovers.

The Donegal club lost 1-0 to the joint league leaders with Gary McCabe's penalty proving the difference.

Speaking to Donegal Sports Hub after the game, Scully was adamant that not only should Rovers have not been awarded a penalty but that the Tallaght-based side's player Simon Madden should have received his marching orders.

"I thought we got robbed. It was never a peno and Madden should have been sent off as well. If that was one of our players, we would have got sent off. He pushed me and then we got a peno incident at the end, so we should have [had a penalty] that to even it up but he never did," he said.

Elaborating on the Madden incident, Scully said, "He was just wasting time. He dived in the first half. He dived twice in the game and then he dived again in the second half and I just told him to get up and when I helped him up, he pushed me when he got up. So it's a yellow card and he was on a yellow card already. If it was one of our players, we would have got sent off."
