Newcastle midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa will not be allowed his move to French side Nice in the transfer window.

FIFA has confirmed they regard him as having played for two clubs already, after he turned out for Newcastle's U21s, as well as having a loan spell at Hull.

Players are not allowed to play for three clubs in a season.
