FIFA has rejected calls to strip Russia of the 2018 World Cup.
Football's governing body claims the tournament can achieve "positive change", and claims boycotts or policies of isolation do not work.
There have been some calls for Russia to have the 2018 tournament taken off them because of its perceived role in the conflict in Ukraine.

"History has shown so far that boycotting sport events or a policy of isolation or confrontation are not the most effective ways to solve problems," said FIFA in a statement.
