A five-goal haul from Republic of Ireland international forward Graham Burke helped Shamrock Rovers thrash ten-man Cork City 6-0 in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division last night.

Deshane Dalling was sent off for the visitors when 2-0 down in first-half injury time in Tallaght.

Jack Byrne was on target for the Hoops as they inflicted a record league defeat on City.

Champions Dundalk were 2-1 winners away to Shelbourne.
