Arsenal leave the Champions League at the last-16 stage once again.

The Gunners battled gamely and managed a 1 - 1 draw in Munich but Miguel Delaney reckons the gulf in class between them and Bayern is yawning.

The Irish Examiner and ESPN writer analysed the match on Off The Ball and he was critical of one major facet of Arsene Wenger's management style.

"I think it's been one of his biggest flaws in the last few years and it used to be his biggest strength. He generally sets out a team in the same sort of way. That's great when they're on form like in 2004. But he makes cosmetic changes to his teams but he's never ruthlessly ripped everything up to specifically beat a team. Today was the same although they were a little bit more withdrawn. You'd almost say that that failure to learn is one of the reasons why Wenger hasn't won a European trophy in his career at all."

But Miguel does think that this Bayern Munich are ultimately more formidable than recent Barcelona sides because they are more defensively solid and have even greater strength in depth.
