The FAI has confirmed a friendly international against Switzerland for next March.
Martin O'Neill's side will play host to the world's 12th-ranked side at the Aviva Stadium on March 25th in what will be their first game of 2016.
The Swiss have already qualified for next summer's European Championships after finishing as runners-up in Group E behind England.
