Italy's former World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro has been sentenced to 10-month's behind bars.
The 41-year-old was accused of trespassing on one of his properties which had been seized by the authorities.
The former Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Juventus defender has been under investigation for alleged tax evasion and was caught bathing in the swimming pool of the villa that he had been barred from entering.
Cannavaro, who is currently head coach of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, has appealed the sentence and thus will not serve it until a final decision is made.
His brother Paolo, who still plays for Serie A side Sassuolo, and his wife Daniela Arenoso have also been given custodial sentences, which they are also appealing.
