Former Celtic midfielder Evander Sno is due to appear in court on charges of aggravated assault.

The Dutchman and two relatives are accused of severely beating two men in Amsterdam in 2013.

Reports in the Netherlands claim that prosecutors will pursue an attempted manslaughter charge given the severity of the injuries suffered by one of the people.

Sno, who has played for Ajax and Feyenoord during his career, played for Celtic between 2006 and 2008 and was highly rated as a youngster.

He is without a club at present.
