There was something very impressive about the Tipperary under 21's in last nights Bord Gais Energy Munster semi final win over Cork at Semple Stadium.
The Premier looked at a different level as they powered into a 10 point lead in the first half even though the Rebels mounted a comeback and had that gap down to just one point early in the second period following a well worked goal which was finished powerfully by Mark Sugrue.
Tipps ability to win the breaks and turnovers along with getting goals though is what really separated the sides with Bill Walsh and Jason Forde each grabbing two and wing forward Tommy Heffernan scoring late on, 5-19 to 2-13 the final score
Tonight Waterford host Clare in the second semi final and if the Deise come through it will be an interesting build up to the final for Walsh who actually lives in Carrick Beg which is on the Waterford side of the Deise /Premier divide.
Like any good player though Walsh didn't wanted to get to drawn on who they may play he was however happy to talk about their performance when I caught up with him on the pitch after last nights victory.
