Everton chairman has hit back at Roy Keane's outburst over the availability of Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy for Ireland.

Keane had raised doubts over the injury records of the two players, suggesting that they are placed under pressure by their club.

But Everton chief Bill Kenwright has described those comments as "totally unfair" and he insists that they encourage Everton player to go on international duty.

"We absolutely love our players going on international duty and we never get in the way of them and [manager] Roberto Martinez will be as shocked as everyone else at Everton is to hear Roy say that," said Kenwright.
