Northern Ireland defender Chris Brunt has been ruled out of Euro 2016.
The West Brom player has had surgery on a serious knee injury, which will keep him sidelined for at least six months.
The injury occurred after he landed awkwardly in his club's 3-2 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
After winning 54 international caps in over a decade playing for Northern Ireland, this summer's competition would have been the 31-year-old's first ever major tournament for his nation.
The news is also a blow for Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill.
"It will be disappointing for us not to have him for the rest of the season because he is a terrific player who gives the team great balance. But obviously it is made even more cruel because it has denied him a career highlight with Northern Ireland this summer," said West Brom boss Tony Pulis of the injury.
