Dublin put in a free scoring second half display against Cork at Croke Park today to book their place in the Allianz National Football League final. Jim Gavin’s side were 2-20 to 2-13 winners over Cork and go on to meet Derry in the final.
Trailing 2-11 to 0-7 at one point, Dublin went on to dominate the game to the tune of 2-13 points scored and just 2 points conceded. Remarkably the Dubs went from trailing by 12 to winning by 7, in about half an hour.
Diarmuid Connolly and Michael Darragh Macauley scored the goals for Dublin, with Macauley's goal early in the second half the beginning of Dublin's relentless assault on the Rebel defence.
