Donegal goalkeeper Paul Durcan is poised to move to Dublin club Ballyboden St Enda’s from his native Four Masters.

The Donegal News is reporting that the 30-year-old’s transfer from the Eskesiders to the Southside outfit has yet to be officially ratified, but it appears imminent.

Durcan, an All-Ireland winner in 2012 under Jim McGuinness, is a two-time All Star who has won a hat-trick of Ulster titles in more than a decade with the Donegal senior set-up.

Ballyboden won Dublin SFCs in 2009 and 1995 and are a powerhouse in the county with Michael Darragh Macauley in their ranks. However, they would be more renowned in recent years for their hurling exploits having won six of the last eight domestic championships.

"Yes, it is in process and while it hasn’t been formally approved, it is something that is likely to happen," a spokesman at 'Boden told the News, which also reports that Durcan's cousin, Robbie McDaid, plays for the Firhouse Road side.

“We would have a strong Donegal connection through the club. Paul is residing full time now and there is a huge commitment in traveling back to Donegal,” the Ballyboden spokeman added.
