Donegal manager Rory Gallagher has expressed his disappointment with the comments made by his predecessor Jim McGuinness about their falling out.

Gallagher served as assistant manager to McGuinness during the county's run to All-Ireland glory, before they parted company two years ago.

McGuinness addresses the fallout in his latest autobiography, but Gallager says he is not interested in commenting on the "inaccuracies in the book" and says he is disappointed that his former mentor has chosen to break the agreement not to discuss the matter in public.

In a statement, Gallagher said: "At this point, I am not interested in commenting on the inaccuracies in the book while involved with the Donegal senior team. I am comfortable in the knowledge that Donegal County Board officers are aware of the true circumstances of my departure.

"I will say I am disappointed Jim has chosen to comment on the break-up of the management team at this point."
