Black Eyed Dog is an honest, open look at the issue of depression within Ireland’s GAA sporting community.

Produced by Peadar Breathnach, the documentary features GAA players past and present, including Conor Cusack, Wayne Hutchinson and Niall McNamee, talking openly and frankly about their experiences of depression. The programme explores the support network the Gaelic Players Association have in place to help fellow county players who may be suffering from depression. The featured participants discuss their reasons for going public in order to raise awareness about the issue, and assess if there is still a stigma or taboo surrounding depression in Ireland.
