Novak Djokovic says he "played the best match of the tournament so far" in beating Milos Raonic to set up an Australian Open semi-final with defending champion Stan Wawrinka.
The Serb beat his Canadian opponent 7-6, 6-4, 6-2 and said: "Of course it was a close first set but I thought I had more chances than him. Tonight not much I can complain about. From the first game to the last I played the game I wanted.
"I don't take anything for granted, I'm aware there are thousands of players around the world fighting to be in the position I am in. I will be ready for a fight but knowing I've played the best match of the tournament so far.
Swiss Wawrinka beat Kei Nishikori 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) earlier in the day.
There will be an all-American last four match in the women's draw - but it won't be between the Williams sisters. Although Serena beat Slovak Dominika Cibulkova, Venus was beaten by Madison Keys.
