A disciplinary panel has cleared Munster centre Francis Saili to play this weekend.

He had been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle in the Reds' Guinness Pro 12 win over the Ospreys.

But the panel have found that while he committed a foul, it didn't merit a red card.

"The Panel did find an act of foul play had been committed, however, the Panel was satisfied that it did not pass the red card test. Therefore, the player is free to play this weekend," said the Pro 12.

On Friday, Munster will face Scarlets at Thomond Park in the Pro 12 as the home side look to maintain their excellent recent form.

Munster are currently top of the Pro 12 table on 59 points, three clear of Leinster and 16 ahead of fifth placed Ulster.

The win over Ospreys was crucial in that regard last Saturday as the Welsh side are third in the table and would have gone top instead of Munster if the Irish side had not staged a stirring late comeback.

Saili has made eight Pro 12 appearances this season, scoring two tries.
