Late goals proved to be the difference as Derry City edged past ten-man Shamrock Rovers and into the FAI Cup final.
As the replay moved towards extra-time, 20-year-old midfielder Michael Duffy scored on 88 minutes before Rory Patterson added another in injury time.
Patterson had missed a penalty earlier after Shamrock Rovers' Jason McGuinness was sent off for a second yellow card.
