Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid tried to pay for a History of Derry ring for his fiancée Courteney Cox but the jewellers wouldn't except their money.
When the couple visited D Cooley Jewellers in the Derry city, they were interested in purchasing the bands which chart the history of McDaid's native Derry city.
The exclusive History of Derry rings are designed and made there at the jewellers.
But instead the jewellers refused their money, insisting the couple have a band each as a gift.

"Could I buy the rings from you?" McDaid asked.
"Please, no, please, please let me, I'd really like to," he insists.
But the jewellery shop staff wouldn't hear of it saying: "No we're giving them to you."
The staff at D Cooley Jewellers posted pictures of the event stating:
"Well we are all overwhelmed today in Cooleys as Courtney Cox and Johnny McDaid called in and we presented them both with our History of Derry ring."
One staff member even managed to upstage the event with a photo bomb....
