Derby County's League Cup game against Carlisle United may not have looked like the most appealing of ties in the Second Round.
The Championship side looked on course to reach the Third Round after Darren Bent gave Nigel Pearson's side the lead in the second half, but Mike Jones equalised for Carlisle late in injury time to send the game to extra-time.
Both teams failed to score in extra-time as the game went to penalties. That's where the entertainment finally started in the iPro Stadium.
It took 32 penalties to separate the teams as Derby ended up winning the shootout 14-13. Derby goalkeeper Scott Carson scored one penalty and saved three on the way to the win.
After both teams took their initial five penalties, the score was 4-4, but it took another 22 spot kicks to separate the teams.
Slovakian Timi Elsnik scored the winning penalty, more than ten minutes after taking his first shot in the shootout.

After the match, Derby manager Nigel Pearson praised his side for bouncing back, after his side conceded so late in the second half.
The game becomes the joint-longest shootout in the history of English football. The 32 kicks matches the 14-13 scoreline between Scunthorpe and Worcester in the FA Cup Second Round in December 2014.
