It is being reported that Davy Fitzgerald has agreed to stay on as Clare manager for a further 3 years.

According to the Star newspaper Fitzgerald who had already agreed an extension last year will now stay on until the end of 2017.

The Banner won the All Ireland last year but lost in the first round of qualifiers this year having exited Munster at the hands of Cork.

Last years All Ireland final replay hero Shane O'Donnell will start for the Clare under 21's in tomorrows Bord Gais Energy Munster under against Cork in Ennis.

The forward missed all the senior Championship with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile in Gaelic football Roscommon says they want John Evans to stay on as manager.

The Kerry mans term in charge ended after their defeat to Armagh in the qualifiers but a spokesperson told the Irish Examiner that the board are hopefully he will stay on.

Evans led the Rossies to division 2 season winning division 3 along the way.
