Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt won't name his team to face New Zealand until tomorrow, but he has already dropped a couple of hints about what changes he is preparing to make.

Following on from last weekend's disappointing defeat to Australia, the Irish management are under pressure to fix the problems that were exposed in their defence and in their set-piece.

It now looks likely that Gordan D'Arcy will return to the Irish midfield to partner Brian O'Driscoll after both Luke Marshall and Darren Cave were released back to Ulster for the weekend.

O'Driscoll has been unable to train this week because of a calf injury, while the decision to allow Marshall to leave the camp would suggest that Jonathan Sexton will be unable to prove his fitness for the game and that Schmidt wants to use the experience of D'Arcy outside either Paddy Jackson or Ian Madigan at out-half.
