If David Moyes was already under pressure, then the situation is reaching boiling point after these two Olympiakos goals put Manchester United on the brink of an embarrassing exit in the Champions League.

While The Guardian's Daniel Harris believes the blame should be shared between the players and managers, he also told us that Moyes made glaring tactical and selection errors.

"The players definitely are better than this and that's partly Moyes' fault for not getting more out of them and it's partly their fault for not putting it in," said Harris, citing passages of play where Robin Van Persie barely broke into a jog.

"They started off by trying to sit deep. In the interview before the game, Moyes said something about trying to score an away goal and quieten the crowd. In the first 10 minutes they gave the momentum to Olympiakos by not engaging them, by sitting deep. The defence isn't really good enough to do that. The best players are up front so what you need to do is to try and get them involved.

"The other thing that was telling was that Adnan Januzaj who came back against Palace after an inexplicable month off was sitting at home tonight. He's been United's best attacker this season and certainly the most consistent. Leaving him out of the most important remaining game is very tricky to understand!"
