By the end of this season, 15 SSE Airtricity League games will be broadcast live on TV.
The medium of television is seen as a way to popularize our domestic league but there has been criticism of the choice of live games and the scheduling of games.
For example, the weekend just gone saw St Pat's game against Limerick shown live on Saturday despite the fact that the fact that the league's biggest derby between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians could have had pride of place on Friday.
Dan McDonnell and Stuart Byrne delved into that issue with Joe tonight.
"Thankfully this weekend the live game, which is Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers, is on Friday night, back to the usual slot. There have been scheduling issues at RTE and you sort of feel in a way that they would've been better off having no games at all because what the TV games unfortunately do is cost clubs money," said Dan who added that there is a feeling that the prestige of TV has been replaced by a fear from clubs who worry over low gates.
Stuey does not agree with the scheduling of 3pm kick offs on Sunday because of the crowd and lack of atmosphere.
He also believes that the Bohs-Rovers derby should have been screened live on Friday ahead of any other fixtures and also pondered whether soccer becomes an "afterthought" for sports fans during the summer.
The lads also reviewed the weekend's round of matches which saw Rovers beat Bohs, Sligo slip to a defeat against Dundalk and Cork City continue their good start.
