Crystal Palace have confirmed the signings of Andros Townsend from Newcastle and Steve Mandanda from Marseille.
The London club landed Townsend for a fee of £11 million on a five year deal, which will be offset by the sale of Dwight Gayle for £10 million. They also acquired the services of France's current second choice goalkeeper, Mandanda, on a free transfer despite reported interest from Chelsea and Everton.
The 24-year-old Townsend told Palace's official website that he is excited to start playing for the club after a fruitful spell at Newcastle:
"I'm extremely delighted. I had chats with the manager and chairman before I signed and I'm pleased to a part of Crystal Palace's future. By the sounds of things it's going to be a bright one and I can't wait to get started," he said.
Mandanda, the 31-year-old goalkeeper, will presumably battle with Wayne Hennessey for the number one shirt in Alan Pardew's side.
