Former St. Patrick's Athletic star Chris Forrester may be above to make the move from League 1 to the Premier League in the coming months.

The 23-year-old joined Peterborough United in august after spending three and a half years with the Inchicore club. The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has seemingly caught the attention of Everton.

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed on Twitter that Everton's scouts have been to London Road in recent weeks to look at Forrester and teammate Jack Baldwin according to Everton website ToffeeNews.

If Forrester were to join the Goodison Park outfit, he would follow in the footsteps of Ireland defender Seamus Coleman who joined Everton from Sligo Rovers. Roberto Martinez's side have a good history in promoting promising young players. If Forrester were to make the move to the top tier, Everton could be the perfect destination for him.
