Cork county board have this evening announced the appointment of Peadar Healy as Cork senior football manager.

Healy had been part of the Cork set-up as a selector between 2008-'13 and won a All-Ireland minor football title with Cork in 1981.

County board chairman Gerard Lane said: “On behalf of the County Board, I would like to wish Peader all the best in his new position.

I would also like to thank all the candidates who expressed an interest in the position, and also the members of the appointments committee for their endeavours.”
