Conor Lyne will be Ireland's flag bearer at this Friday's Opening Ceremony at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
The 21-year-old downhill skier has been chosen to lead the five-strong team.
Lyne will represent Ireland in the slalom and grand slalom, which starts next Wednesday.
But the first of the Irish athletes in action will be snowboader Seamus O'Connor, who takes part in slopestyle qualification tomorrow morning.
