Connacht's injury problems show no signs of dissipating as they prepare to welcome Guinness PRO12 table-toppers Munster to Galway on Saturday.

The reigning champions have been devastated by injuries over the last few weeks and they head into the weekend's match currently monitoring 22 players.

The news comes as star centre Bundee Aki has been ruled out until February and the province have only won four of their 10 games in the championship so far this season.

Connacht are coming off a 23-7 loss against domestic rivals Ulster in the Kinsgpan stadium while Munster will be looking to capitalise on their dominant 29-17 win over Leinster yesterday

The game in Belfast was a tough encounter and Pat Lam's side picked up a few niggles in it, including captain John Muldoon's thigh injury and Ultan Dillane's ankle injury.

In all, the medical team out west are monitoring: Finlay Bealham, Ronan Loughney, Conor Carey, Dominic Robertson McCoy, Ivan Soroka, Ultan Dillane, Andrew Browne, John Muldoon, Jake Heenan, Eoghan Masterson, John Cooney, Marnitz Boshoff, Shane O'Leary, Craig Ronaldson, Peter Robb, Bundee Aki, Stacey Ili, Eoin Griffin, Cian Kelleher, Danie Poolman, Josh Rowland and Darragh Leader.
