London Olympian Michael Conlan is through to the finals of the Men's Bantamweight division at the Commonwealth Games.

The Belfast man beat defending Commonwealth champion Sean McGoldrick on points after their bout was halted during the second round because of a nasty cut suffered by Conlan.

Michaela Walsh will also fight for gold at the Glasgow games.

The Belfast flyweight won her semi-final with India's Pinki Rani on a split decision.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland have other contenders vying for final places.

Alanna Audley-Murphy's semi-final sees her face Australia's Shelley Watts in the lightweight division, while Craigavon's Sean Duffy takes on Namibian light welterweight Junias Jonas.

Derry light-heavyweight Sean McGlinchy is up against Kiwi 18-year old David Nyika and Olympian Paddy Barnes continues the defence of his light flyweight title against Ugandan teenager Fazil Kaggwa.

Belfast lightweight Joe Fitzpatrick squares off against Michael Alexander of Trinidad and Tobago.

Steven Donnelly is up againt India's Mandeep Jangra in the welterweight semi finals and another Indian boxer, Vijender Vijender, is the opponent for Derry middleweight Connor Coyle.
