It was a weekend packed with sporting action and drama, with everything from the Super Bowl to Paul Galvin’s retirement and the Six nations vying for our attention. And if that’s not enough we have the biggest Premier League game of the season tonight. Chelsea go to Manchester City for the least forgiving fixture on the calendar.

On tonight’s show we’ll have Pat Nevin on Chelsea’s trip to City and United’s eighth loss of the league season. Emmet Malone is in studio for the football show, and we’ll speak with George Caulkin of The Times on Sunderland’s resurgence under Gus Poyet.

The retirement of Paul Galvin has shocked many and we’ll be discussing the Kerry star’s decision to walk away, and where it leaves Kerry. On yesterday’s Off the Ball Weeshie Fogarty of Radio Kerry gave an impassioned tribute to Galvin and the Finuge man’s place in the pantheon of Kerry football greats.

In rugby we speak with Eddie O’Sullivan and Bernard Jackman for Monday Night Rugby. A comfortable win against Scotland has the feel of a job well done, but what do Ireland need to do to beat reining champions Wales in Dublin next weekend?

We have Super Bowl reaction as the city of Seatlle finally welcomes success to their town with one of the most one-sided Super Bowl destructions you’ll ever see.

And then to top it all off we have the Donn on today giving his weekly tips and racing review. Which you’ll want to take notes on if you, like most people, backed the Broncos last night.
