Today’s Saturday Panel on Off the Ball features some familiar faces and voices. We have Alain Rolland, rugby referee and former Ireland international scrum half, in studio, along with Conor Deegan, former Down footballer, and Vincent Hogan, chief sports writer with the Irish Independent.
There will be an update from Augusta as we head into day 3 with Bubba Watson in a commanding 3 shot lead, and Rory McIlroy clinging on for dear life at 4 over. We go live to the Georgia course to get the latest news as day 3 gets underway.
This weekend sees Premier League games kick off 7 minutes late, to allow clubs mark the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough with a minutes silence at 3.06 – the time at which the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest was stopped in 1989.
We will be speaking with David Conn, Guardian journalist who has covered the aftermath of the Hillsborough tragedy extensively, to hear about the battle the victims’ families have faced, and continue to face, in their search for truth and justice.
The day’s football is heavily focused on the relegation scrap. All of the sides battling the drop are in action and we will have regular updates throughout the day, followed by our Saturday Football analysis after final whistles. This week we have Ray Houghton ad Stewart Robson on the line to break down the day’s action for us.
