Yesterday Kilkenny won the Allianz Hurling League after a pulsating extra time win over Tipperary at Semple Stadium. The Cats won the Division 1 final by just a solitary point, beating their near neighbours by 2-25 to 1-27.
I spoke to Kilkenny manager Brian Cody about his team's win. He told me "it was a great game, massively intense... it looked like it might be going to replay, but the lads just worked a great bit of combination to get the winning point":
I also talked to Michael Fennelly, the Kilkenny midfielder. He says "you have a plan, but it depends what way the game goes... especially in the second half it opened up and there were lads hurling everywhere. Thankfully we came out in the end":
