Could 2016 be Cleveland's year?

A city that was famous for a sporting 'curse', saw the Cavaliers win the NBA Finals earlier this year. That ended a 52-year drought in the city, that saw the Cavs, Browns, and Indians fail to win titles.

After Wednesday night's win in Toronto against the Blue Jays, the Indian have now reached the World Series. It is the first time the team has reached the finals since 1997, but the team was not won the title since 1948.

The Indians won the best-of-seven series 4-1 after a 3-0 win in Game 5 in the Canadian city.  Carlos Santana scored two runs, with Coco Crisp adding a third, for the historic win.

Their opponents are still unknown, as the Chicago Cubs beat the LA Dodgers 10-2 to tie their series at 2-2. The Cubs have not won a World Series since 1908 and have lost in seven appearances since, with the last of those coming in 1945.

The Dodgers are looking to play in their first World Series since 1988. On that occasion, they defeated the Oakland Athletics in five games.
