Cleveland Cavaliers have reached their third NBA Finals in a row, after winning the Eastern Conference Finals against Boston Celtics.

The reigning NBA Champions defeated the Celtics 135-102 to win the series 4-1. Golden State Warriors await the Cavaliers in the Finals for the third year in a row.

LeBron James made history in the game, where he scored 35 points. The three-time NBA Champion became the all-time leading points-scorer in this history of the NBA Playoffs. He's now on 5,995 points, eight clear of Michael Jordan.

After the games, James paid tribute for the former Chicago Bulls star. "I wear the number [23] because of Mike. I think I fell in love with the game because of Mike... I never believed I could be Mike".

James was the game's top scorer, in a game where the Cavaliers never trailed. The led by 15 points at the end of the first quarter and increased it to 34 points going into the final quarter.

Kyrie Irving (24) and Kevin Love (15) also combined for 39 points, in a game the Cavaliers never looked like losing. Substitute Deron Williams also scored 14 points.

Avery Bradley continued his impressive run in the series, scoring 23 points. Gerald Green, Terry Rozier and Jae Crowder all reached double figures too, as the Celtics chased the game.

The Finals begin on June 1st, with two games in Oakland, before the series moves to Cleveland.
