Europe's Ryder Cup golf captain Darren Clarke says he can't wait to go up against his USA counterpart Davis Love III next year.

They're good friends, having been on the tour together for a number of years.

Love was given a second chance at the job after leading the Americans during their 2012 defeat by Europe at Medinah.

Clarke told Sky Sports News the US skipper will want a happier experience this time around.

"I'm sure Davis will be out looking for a little bit of, maybe not revenge, but a little bit to prove his point," said Clarke.

"I'm sure the match will be played in the manner we both think it should be played.

"It's going going to be a very interesting, challenging, great week."
