Tottenham midfielder Paulinho faces a month out of action with an ankle injury.
The Brazil international suffered the injury in a tackle with Stoke City's Charlie Adam in Sunday's 3 - 0 win.
The 25-year-old sustained damage to his ankle ligaments.
It is not the first time a challenge from Adam has injured a Spurs player's ankle.
Gareth Bale was left with ankle ligament damage on two occasions following tackles by Adam and after the second incident in the 2012/13 pre-season, the Real Madrid winger referred to Adam as a "coward".
In a series of tweets, Adam denied that he had a problem with Tottenham or their players:
Just for the record and to the people tweeting me abuse saying so, I don't and never have had anything against @SpursOfficial

... And I would never intend to injure a fellow professional
